Dejarse Caer

Dejarse Caer is an interactive installation that proposes a conversation with Daniel’s father stemming from the need to know him better. Hand-held walkies provided by the artist on-site transmit a mix of both a real interview conducted by Daniel with his father and a fictional conversation created with Artificial Intelligence.

Ricardo Daniel (Monterrey, Nuevo León, 1989) explores choreographic composition in his work, seeking to build bridges between dance, theater and visual arts. Choreography—understood in an expanded way—is approached in his practice from different perspectives: the popular, the collective and the personal. He is a co-founder of the performance practice space El Entresuelo (Mexico City) and co-creator of the movement improvisation program PERMANENTE in that same space. He was awarded the Jóvenes Creadores scholarship granted by the Sistema de Apoyos a la Creación y Proyectos Culturales (SACPC) in 2020. His work has been presented in Mexico, Argentina, Tenerife (Spain), Germany and France.
